Creating atmosphere with a purpose

Atmosphere is created and there’s nothing spontaneous about it. Think about it. Here’s an example. What’s spontaneous about going around the bathtub and putting out rose petals, lighting candles and dimming the lights? It’s obviously being done intentionally.

Back from Steamboat Springs, Colorado and it was a blast!

Dog Sledding in Steamboat Springs, Colorado For Valentine’s Day I decided to take Jane to Steamboat Springs again. As I’ve been known to do, I wanted to come up with a strategy that would allow us to take our friends too.

Hey guys, just checking in from Steamboat Springs, Colorado on Valentine’s Day. We’re out here doing all kinds of wild stuff in the snow. I’ll update you all about this trip once we get back to North Carolina, but I wanted to tell you about something I got to do on Friday night.

Raleigh had the NHL All-Star game with a little help from me!

My family and a bunch of friends got to hang out with the world’s greatest hockey players all weekend in Raleigh, N.C. at the NHL All-Star weekend. They had some big-time bands too like 3 Doors Down, but the biggest kick was seeing my son Spencer get to hang out with some of his heroes.
