I wanted to take a minute to share some good news with you and also let you know that we will have greater news later this year.
The Alliance officially surpassed the $200,000 mark in donations to charities through its Good Samaritan Bonus program in April. That’s good news, but our big goal for 2017 is to donate more than $250,000 for the year. It’s a big goal for us and our agents are focused on hitting that mark.
I love being able to donate to charities and non-profit organizations, and my goal is to help others do the same through the GSB program. If our agents put in the activity and the effort then I want them to be rewarded and recognized. The GSB is a way that we highlight the successes of The Alliance and also give back to charities, which is in line with our motto to “Have Fun, Make Money and Make a Difference.” We do all three of those things with the GSB because agents help protect clients, they are paid to do it and it is fun to be able to hand-pick a charity to have The Alliance make out a check to each month.
Here’s another cool thing about GSB. Our agents have the chance to deliver these checks and a GSB packet in person to the charities. These packets have a letter from me to the agent celebrating their success, a letter to give to the charity, a real live check for the charity and an oversized “fake” check to present to the charity and to take a picture with that can be posted on our www.GoodSamaritanBonus.com web site. If you have a minute to check out the site please do so. You can find a list of all the different charities The Alliance has supported through the GSB program.
More good news: the list continues to grow and the amount we donate each month gets bigger and better.
Another way to know who GSB winners in The Alliance are is by seeing a green ribbon on them at meetings and events. This is another small gesture to identify the people that are making a difference at The Alliance.
Through the GSB, agents can contribute from $100 to $350 in a single month (up to $4,200 per year) to the organization of their choice, just by meeting monthly sales goals. Since The Alliance is the country’s top provider of mortgage protection insurance, the GSB acts as a great incentive for agents to get more American families covered.
The GSB is unique and different from many companies because of the freedom it allows agents to select THEIR favorite charity. It is not one of those deals where when you check out or you purchase something, the representative of that company asks if you would like to make a donation to one specific charity. I want to spread the love and help as many charities and non-profits as possible. The Alliance doesn’t help one single organization; it helps as many as possible. I love that a person works hard for a month and then gets rewarded by earning income and by getting to decide what charity they want to support that month via the GSB program.
I’m excited about being able to let people know that The Alliance donated $250,000 to charity, and I do not take lightly the impact these donations have in the United States and around the world. It feels good to be able to help people and we are going to keep doing that through the GSB program.
Ask yourself this: Have you ever been able to donate a check to charity for $350 and knew that you would get to do it again every month and it wouldn’t impact your personal income? That’s big and The Alliance enjoys being able to recognize our agents who “Do The Do” each month with the GSB program.
